Registration and attendance at a Recitation section
(CHEM1211) is required. A Webmail/WebCampus account is also
required. A basic scientific calculator that has 1/x, log, 10^X,
ln, e^x, SQRT, and power of ten (scientific) notation will be needed
for tests and homework. Programmable calculators with
non-volatile
memories, cell phones, and lap-top computers will not be
permitted during tests.

The lowest quiz grade will be dropped to make allowance for one absence. Attendance at lectures (sign-in) and quiz sections is required and will be graded at all lecture and recitation classes.
Each test and the final exam will be scaled separately and letter grades assigned. Attendance, quiz, test, and final exam grades will be combined according to the above weights in order to obtain the overall average.
No make-up tests will be given. The date of the final exam will be published by the University. Students in the laboratory sections (CHEM 1303) will receive separate grades, which grades will not affect the lecture grades.
