2. Four graduate certificates. We
offer graduate certificates in
four specialty areas: International Taxation, State and
Local
Taxation, Estate, Gift and Trust Taxation, and Corporate
Taxation. Each
certificate is awarded to students who
completes three classes (9 credits) in any of the focus areas.
Pre-requisite
courses
may be required. Students are able to
earn any of the graduate certificates either as part of, and in
addition to, the
MST
degree, or as a stand-alone certificate that is pursued either before
or after
completing an MST degree. Admission to the MS in Taxation program is
required for a
stand-alone certificate. 3. GMAT waiver. The
GMAT exam is waived for CPAs, MBAs
from accredited institutions, CFPs, and attorneys. In all waiver cases, an
undegraduate or graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. 5. Tuition discount for certificates. A 20%
tuition discount is offered to graduates of the FDU MST program who
return to complete any
of the
four Graduate Certificates.
6. Access to professional online
research database. Each student in the
program may request and be provided with access to a powerful
professional online data tax base for use as a supplement and an
adjunct to their studies.7. Selected topic classes. From time to time, we offer classes in special areas and topics that are not given regularly. In the recent past, we held courses in Real Estate Taxation , Taxation of S Corporations, and Taxation of Financial Products,. We are planning to offer a class on FIN48/FAS109.
